This spring, join us for an unforgettable eight-night culinary journey through Paris and Normandie at the height of fraise (strawberry) and fromage (cheese) season. Over nine delicious days, you’ll bake, taste, explore, and savor France in the most meaningful way—through its iconic springtime flavors and regional traditions.

Your adventure begins in Paris, where the city’s patisseries and markets overflow with ruby-red strawberries. After settling into the chic Le Grand Mazarin in the heart of Le Marais, you’ll dive straight into the sweet side of the city with a bakery tour and hands-on classes at La Cuisine Paris. From perfecting the elegant Fraisier cake to crafting Tartelette aux Fraises, you’ll celebrate the season’s star ingredient in all its forms, ending with a guided tasting of artisanal goat cheese. With a balance of group time and free time, you can wander Parisian markets, browse boutiques, and discover the city’s best culinary gems at your own pace.

Midweek, we’ll journey into the rolling countryside of Normandie—France’s dairy paradise—where lush pastures produce some of the world’s most beloved fromages. You’ll settle into the historic Château d’Audrieu, enjoy cider and Calvados tasting, and choose between a private D-Day landing beaches tour or a stroll through the medieval charm of Bayeux. Throughout your stay, seasonal butter-rich specialties and local baking will take center stage.

Our second Norman home, the storied Ferme Saint Siméon in Honfleur, invites you deeper into the region that inspired Impressionist masters. Along the way, you’ll experience a behind-the-scenes cheese tour and tasting, indulge in a seaside visit to Deauville, and browse Honfleur’s vibrant Saturday market—overflowing with spring produce, handcrafted goods, and regional treats. A special baking session with pastry chef Ségo Dalsace brings Norman cuisine to life in an intimate, hands-on way.

Finally, we return to Paris for one last celebratory evening: a private cruise along the Seine, where we’ll toast the flavors, friendships, and memories gathered throughout the week.

From the first bite of fraise to the final taste of exquisite fromage, this retreat is a celebration of France’s spring bounty—crafted for bakers who believe the season is best savored one delicious moment at a time.

Some special retreat inclusions to note: roundtrip private car service to/from Charles du Gualle airport, a 200€ per person food and beverage credit at Ferme Saint Siméon, and the option to upgrade your hotel stays.

This retreat is limited to just 16 guests and offers a rare opportunity to experience France through the lens of baking, culture, and connection.

Paris and Normandy Baking Retreat

Sunday, April 19

Upon arrival at Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport, a private driver will meet you outside baggage claim for a smooth, stress-free transfer into the city. Settle into the charming five-star Le Grand Mazarin hotel, nestled in the heart of Le Marais, a neighborhood known for its lively bistros and family-owned boutiques. In the early evening, we’ll gather for a welcome reception at the hotel—your chance to meet our team and your fellow bakers. The rest of the evening is yours to relax or begin exploring Paris at your leisure.

Monday, April 20

We’ll begin the day the sweetest way possible—with a bakery tour that lets you discover Paris through its iconic pastries. Afterward, enjoy a hands-on baking class at La Cuisine Paris, Bake from Scratch’s home away from home. Together, we’ll make two springtime classics: Fraisier and Tartelette aux Fraises, followed by a tasting of artisanal chèvre cheese. The evening is yours to savor Paris however you wish.

Tuesday, April 21

In the morning, we’ll return to La Cuisine Paris for another hands-on baking session, guided by their French-trained, English-speaking chefs. The afternoon and evening are yours to enjoy Paris at your own pace. We’ll also share a list of our favorite culinary shops, boutiques, and restaurants to help inspire your explorations.

Wednesday, April 22

We’ll journey to Normandie and check into Château d’Audrieu, an elegant 18th-century castle set in the beautiful countryside. In the afternoon, choose your own adventure: enjoy a private tour of the nearby D-Day landing beaches, or wander the charming streets of Bayeux. In the early evening, we’ll gather at the hotel for a Calvados and cider tasting, where you’ll learn about the local specialties crafted at nearby Domaine de la Flaguerie.

Thursday, April 23

We’re still finalizing the delicious details for this day, but expect to spend time in the kitchen with a baker’s best friend: butter.

Friday, April 24

As we travel to our second stop in Normandie, we’ll savor a few delicious adventures along the way, including a cheese tour and tasting. We’ll stop for lunch in the seaside resort town of Deauville before settling into Ferme Saint Siméon, a 17th-century auberge overlooking the Seine estuary and just a 10-minute walk from the charming port of Honfleur. This historic property has welcomed and inspired artists such as Claude Monet and Jean-Baptiste Corot—and once you arrive, you’ll see why. (Each person will receive a 200€ food and beverage credit to use at the hotel’s restaurants, bar, or for room service.)

Friday, April 25

If you’ve joined us on past retreats at La Cuisine Paris, you may remember pastry chef and instructor Ségo Dalsace. Ségo now calls Normandie home, and she’s excited to welcome us into the kitchen to share her favorite Norman classics. You’ll also have free time to enjoy Honfleur’s lively Saturday market, set in what many consider one of France’s most beautiful villages.

Friday, April 26

In the morning, we’ll depart for Paris and check back into Le Grand Mazarin. You’ll have the afternoon to wander the streets and do some last-minute shopping. In the evening, we’ll board a private boat for an unforgettable cruise along the Seine and toast an amazing week together before leaving Paris refreshed and enriched.
